How to get from Naha Airport to Zamami Island
The shortest travel time from Naha Airport to Zamami Island is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Take the monorail or taxi to Tomari Port, then a high-speed boat or ferry to Zamami Island. Hotel transfers are available upon arrival at Zamami Port.

It takes about 14 minutes (7 stops) from Naha Airport Station to Miebashi Station. From Miebashi Station to Tomari Port it's about a 10-minute walk.

Tomari Port → Zamami Port
The journey takes approximately 50-65 minutes by the high-speed ferry Queen Zamami and about 2 hours by the regular ferry Zamami.

Ferry and high-speed boat ticket purchase guide
There are three ways to book tickets.
① Online booking (recommended)
Reservations can be made up to 55 days in advance of the departure date. Payment can be completed by credit card, and on the day of departure, you can board simply by presenting a QR code. During the busy summer season, high-speed ferries fill up quickly, so early online reservations are recommended.
Members of the "Zamami Village Islanders Network" can make reservations up to 2 months and 7 days in advance.

② Telephone reservation
Reservations can be made starting one month prior to your desired boarding date, with bookings opening at 10:00 AM. Ticket payment is made at the ticket counter on the day of boarding. Please keep your reservation number handy.

③ Purchase at the counter on the day of purchase Tickets can be purchased on the day at the counter inside the Tomarin Building at Tomari Port, or at the North Shore ticket office. Tickets are only available if there are seats available. About the boarding area Purchase tickets and board the ferry at the counter inside the Ferry Zamami Tomarin building. The high-speed ferry Queen Zamami departs from the North Wharf ticket office, which is about a 7-8 minute walk from the Tomarin Building. Please allow ample time for your journey.
Regarding flight cancellations
Ferry services may be cancelled in case of severe weather conditions such as strong winds or high waves. The decision to cancel will be made around 8:00 AM on the day of service. You can check the operating status for the day on the Zamami Village official website. If the ferry is cancelled, you can get a refund for your ticket.
Estimated fares (one-way, after revision in January 2026)
Both the high-speed ferry Queen Zamami and the regular ferry Zamami have revised fares effective January 2026. In addition to the boarding fee, a "Chura-jima tax" of 100 yen per person will be added. Please check the latest fares on the Zamami Village official website.

Reservations are not accepted, so please purchase your ticket in cash at the counter before boarding. For the 7:45 AM departure from Zamami Port only, tickets are not required; please pay in cash on board.
